Hi, I'm Yvette Fontenot Buller—a wife, mother, grandmother, artisan, and writer. Throughout every chapter of my life, my Catholic faith has centered and guided me. During difficult times, prayer and creativity provided comfort, inspiring me to design gifts that bring hope to others. Job 42:10 reads, "The LORD also restored the prosperity of Job, after he had prayed for his friends; the LORD even gave to Job twice as much as he had before." After much suffering, the Lord called me to share my stories and prayers, and He has begun to make me "more" than before.
My identity as an author is deeply rooted in my Catholic faith and the personal journey that has shaped who I am. Every aspect of my writing and creative endeavors is touched by these influences. The transformative experiences I have encountered—most notably my spiritual awakening and the profound impact of those I hold dear—are woven into the stories I tell and the messages I share. With a heart attuned to the sacred and a yearning for grace, I strive to create works that do more than narrate meaningful stories; I aim to invite readers into reflection on their own spiritual journeys and encourage them to strive for holiness in their daily lives.
My Debut Book is a deeply personal memoir titled Holy Grief: Transformation Through Loss. It recounts my journey through profound grief and loss within the context of the Catholic faith, emphasizing how suffering can lead to spiritual growth and holiness. The narrative intertwines stories of family, faith, and healing, highlighting the role of prayer, sacraments, and community support in navigating grief.
My approach to writing is a blend of tradition, devotion, and a genuine desire to uplift others. My book is an offering, crafted with care and infused with prayer, seeking to reflect the grace that sustains us and the pursuit of holiness that inspires us. This process mirrors the way I approach my work as an artisan, creating devotional items with intention and reverence. Through writing, my hope is to offer encouragement, inspiration, and a deeper connection to faith, grace, and the enduring presence of God in daily life.
I was born and raised in the Catholic faith as one of nine children, receiving my primary and secondary education in Catholic school. Growing up in a large Catholic family instilled in me the values of resilience, compassion, and an awareness of grace, which continue to inform the stories of love, heartache, healing, and the daily striving for holiness that I share. In 1983, my husband and I were married in the Catholic Church. Together, we raised two wonderful sons and walked together through the heartbreaks and joys of marriage, parenthood and grandparenthood, finding comfort in faith and God's grace.
